2024 Conference: University of Edinburgh
On the 11th and 12th of April, the UBASEECAS held their first annual conference at the University of Edinburgh. There were a total of 17 attendees, six undergraduate research presentations , two workshops, and two competitions. See below for our conference programme, presentation slides, and photos!
We would like to extend our utmost gratitude to the School of Literatures, Languages and Cultures (LLC) at the University of Edinburgh for their generous grant which helped make this conference happen. Initiatives like these are what help foster an encouraging environment for young academics. We hope that this sentiment will be there for the next generations of undergraduate Slavonicists and the like!

We would like to extend our warmest thanks to Phil Muriel (MCIL CL), an Award winning French/English Interpreter and Translator and tutor. His talk on a career in interpreting - including career highlights, the importance of the industry, as well as how to get your foot in the door - has inspired many delegates to consider a career in this necessary path.
